- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I got the mortgage on my first home four years ago through Travis. In October, 2016 I went back to him for a mortgage on my second home. Both times, I ended up closing ahead of schedule and with an interest rate better than I had expected. He also got things done quickly and kept me in the loop so I knew where everything stood. This time, I initially went to Travis as well as another local lender. Travis offered a rate the other lender couldn't. He was also much better with customer service. Every time I needed to talk with him he either answered the phone right away, or very promptly returned my call. The other place would ignore me for days. There was also a couple things with my personal situation that concerned me. With Travis, I felt confident that everything would work out (as it did), which is also the complete opposite of how it felt dealing with the other lender. The buyer of my first home this time went with a different local lender and had their closing delayed, which further increased my loyalty to Travis and Plattsburgh Mortgage. - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Travis is one of the highest regarded loan officers my husband and I have ever worked with. We recently purchased our retirement dream home. Travis efficiently and skillfully guided us through the hours of paperwork and proper channels along this journey.He is completely dedicated to his profession. Through multiple avenues of technology, he is well versed and discrete and able to allow me to maintain my classroom, (still teaching for a few years) and text or email,or phone to ask questions or answer all of my "any updates?" emails. My husband and I feel that without Travis we may have given up on our dream-log home, do to the inability of some of the many other banks to advise or even lend time to guide us.
